The Albanese Labor Government is delivering bill saving upgrades to community sporting clubs, helping them to keep kicking goals for years to come.

Under the $50m Game On program, up to 500 community sports clubs will be supported to upgrade their facilities to be more energy efficient and climate resilient, future-proofing local clubs.

Sporting clubs can apply for one-off grants of between $25,000 and $100,000 to fund upgrades from efficient ACs and better drainage systems to solar panel and battery installations - bringing bills down while making their facilities more resilient to a changing climate.

Clubs will be able to reinvest bill savings into the things that matter most to their communities - like funding new equipment, girls' participation programs, and pathways for young athletes and officials.

Sport Forever, led by Cricket for Climate Ltd, has been appointed as the Game On Round 1 Program Support Provider. Through Sport Forever grant applicants and recipients will be able to access expert support and guidance to support their proposals and projects.

Round 1 of the program opens today and will deliver upgrades worth $17.6 million.
