The call has gone out for event hosts to be part of the much-loved A Taste of Italy Griffith, returning from 24 to 30 August 2026.
The Griffith Tourism Team is coordinating the official program and is encouraging individuals, community groups, clubs and businesses to register any planned events so they can be included in the week-long celebration.
A Taste of Italy is one of Griffith's signature event campaigns, showcasing the city's rich Italian heritage through food, culture and community pride. The 2026 program will once again bring together a vibrant mix of experiences designed to attract visitors and provide locals with a memorable week of celebration.
From long table feasts and Italian music, to bocce at the museum and celebrations of the humble salami, the week promises something for everyone and continues to grow as a highlight on Griffith's events calendar.
Tourism Manager, Mirella Guidolin said, "We're seeing visitors getting in early and booking tickets and accommodation."
Businesses and restaurants are also encouraged to get involved, even in simple ways, such as offering Italian-themed menus, specials, window displays or promotions during the week. If you are planning something, the Tourism Team wants to hear about it.
