Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a body was located in the Imbil State Forrest yesterday.
While formal identification is underway, police are working with the family of missing 22-year-old Tarci Carey.
Tarci was reported missing from Nambour on August 7 and police conducted an extensive search operation including significant resources such as the State Emergency Service, Queensland Remote Area Tracking, the Mounted Unit, police motorbikes, all-terrain vehicles, Water Police and Polair.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing, however, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
