Brisbane Water Police are appealing for information after a vessel was located in the Moreton Bay area, 18 December.
Shortly before 9am, Water Police were advised that a small aluminium dingy, estimated to be approximately 15 feet long had been located floating in the Pearl Channel, North Moreton Bay with no person on board.
The vessel has no visible registration number, and no boats have been reported as missing or overdue.
Police are conducting a search in the area as precautionary measure and are seeking community assistance to identify the owner of the vessel.
Any person who may recognise the dingy or has information regarding the ownership is urged to contact police.
