WaterNSW is advising the public that the boat lock at Lock 10 on the Murray River at Wentworth is not operating.
WaterNSW is investigating the suspected malfunction, and specialist divers are travelling to the site.
In the interim, boat operators are advised that the Lock 10 boat lock is impassable to Murray River boat traffic in both directions until further notice.
The duration of the lock closure will depend on the outcome of the investigation and the work required to restore service.
WaterNSW operates a number of Murray River locks on behalf of the Murray Darling Basin Authority.
