Lockdown support for arts and culture sector

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government has announced a $150,000 support package for members of the arts and culture sector adversely affected by the most recent COVID-19 response across Greater Darwin and Alice Springs.

Up to $1000 is available for individuals who were ineligible for the Territory Small Business Lockdown Payment program, and $4000 for organisations.

The Arts and Culture 2021 COVID-19 Interruption Support program provides quick-response grants to assist Territory artists, arts workers and arts organisations impacted by this week's lockdown measures.

Funding will assist with losses - including income, venue hire, travel and accommodation – incurred by the cancellation of events. These include Darwin Fringe Festival shows, theatre productions, live music gigs, and arts and cultural workshops.

The grants round opens at midday on Monday 5 July 2021 and closes at 2pm, Monday 2 August 2021 (grantsnt.nt.gov.au). Applicants will receive notification within 10 working days.
