Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program

Applications are now open for the 2020 Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program, with a sponsored position available for a CFA volunteer looking to build upon their existing personal and community leadership skills.

Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program

The program is open to can-do people who are already involved or would like to become more proactive members of their community or industry.

Some may already be on their leadership path, others may not consider themselves leaders but will demonstrate leadership qualities. For example, see something that needs to be done, learn how to get involved constructively, and take a lead in making a difference.

The program runs between February and November. Each of the 22 program days is held in a different part of the region, showcasing rural communities, towns and major regional centres. It also includes a study tour to Canberra.

Participants must attend all of the mandatory program days:

  • 7, 28 and 29 February
  • 18 and 19 July
  • 13 - 16 September
  • 7, 8 and 20 November

In addition, participants are required to attend a minimum 80 per cent of all other program days. The schedule of program dates can be found on the LEAD Loddon Murray website.

Participants are required to complete and submit a mid and end-of-year report, and expected to develop and implement a community project, including completing the LMCLP Project Charter and presenting a project via a pitch style presentation.

This opportunity is open to CFA volunteers who currently live in the Macedon Ranges, Mt Alexander, Central Goldfields, City of Greater Bendigo, Campaspe, Gannawarra, Loddon, Buloke or Swan Hill council areas. Applicants who live or volunteer in a rural, declining or retracting community are strongly encouraged to apply.
