Logan Village: High Range DUI, Traffic Offences

Police have charged a man following a traffic intercept on Waterford Tamborine Road in Logan Village on 13 February.

It will be alleged around 6.50pm, police intercepted a black Mazda 3 for the purposes of a roadside breath test (RBT).

The driver allegedly tested positive before being detained and transported to Logan Village Police Station for a secondary test where he recorded a breath alcohol level of 0.176 per cent.

It is alleged further checks conducted showed the driver did not hold a current driver's licence and the Mazda 3 was not currently registered.

The 32-year-old Hillcrest man was subsequently charged with one count each of did drive under the influence (U.I.L), driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence disqualified, vehicles used on road must be registered, registered operator failed to ensure each number plate visible, drive uninsured vehicle, using lights when driving at night, light vehicle must not be driven or parked on a road if defective and using vehicle for which a number plate attached is recorded as cancelled.

He was given police bail to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 17 March 2026.
