Lost Wallet Fraud Charges, WA

Wembley Police have charged a 54 year old Perth man with a number of fraud offences after he allegedly asked members of the public for money after claiming he lost his wallet on multiple occasions.


It will be alleged the man approached members of the public on a number of occasions throughout the metropolitan area claiming he had lost his wallet and needed money for a taxi fare to return to his marron farm in Serpentine, WA Police say.


The man offered to return the money and gave the people false contact details.



He has been charged with 29 Gains Benefit by Fraud and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 19 May 2017.
