M1 Motorway northbound to close at Mount Ousley

National Road Transport Association

Two northbound lanes on the M1 Princes Motorway at Mount Ousley will close on Sunday 24 July to Wednesday 27 July, nightly between 8pm and 4am. The closure will be for about one kilometre starting about 500 metres north from New Mount Pleasant Road.

There will be one northbound lane open during the closure. All southbound lanes will remain open during this time. Heavy vehicles up to 3.5 metres wide are permitted to travel in both directions.

There will be no northbound access for heavy vehicles wider than 3.5 metres during the eight hour closure.

A reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.

The closure is to allow for necessary upgrades to be carried out, as a result of the recent severe weather.
