The driver of a car, filmed travelling west on the east bound lanes of the M5 between Moorebank Avenue and Henry Lawson Drive has been identified.
The incident was filmed by another driver around 10.25pm on Sunday 30 December 2018.
Yesterday (Sunday 13 January 2019), this driver was issued an infringement notice for P1 licence holder use mobile phone while driving - $337 and 10 demerit points (Double demerits).
Inquiries have revealed the drivers did not know each other.
The 68-year-old driver was stopped and spoken to about his actions. A question of fitness will be lodged in relation to his driver's licence.
No further police action is anticipated.
