The Mayors of Camden, Campbelltown City and Wollondilly Shire are coming together to host an inaugural fundraising event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation.

The Macarthur Mayors Combined Charity Dinner will be held on Friday 7 November, 6pm, at the newly renovated Camden Civic Centre. The event will include on stage entertainment, a silent auction with auction items donated by sponsors, local businesses and the three councils, and raffles, with prizes also donated by sponsors, local businesses, the three councils and Kids of Macarthur.

All the money raised at the event will go to Kids of Macarthur, Macarthur's premier children's charity. The foundation aims to purchase the latest paediatric medical equipment available, to enhance the level of health care offered in the Macarthur region. All equipment purchased is in addition to government expenditure and would not be available for local use if not purchased by the foundation. Equipment is purchased for the eight paediatric units in Campbelltown and Camden hospitals, as well as supporting many children's community health programs.

Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation CEO, Denise McGrath, said she was very excited for the inaugural event.

"Kids of Macarthur and all three councils involved are all about helping and enhancing the community," she said.

"It's wonderful to be able to come together for an event like this."

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said she was honoured the newly refurbished Camden Civic Centre would be hosting the prestigious event.

"We're putting the finishing touches on the $9.9 million upgrade to our much-loved community venue, which will transform it into a state-of-the-art facility. It's incredibly heartwarming to be hosting the inaugural Macarthur Mayors Combined Charity Dinner here as one of the Civic Centre's first major events," she said.

"Since they were first formed in 2000, The Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation has been tirelessly dedicated to improving health care provision for every child living in our region. They work incredibly hard to raise, stimulate and advocate for funding of children and adolescent health services and bringing the Macarthur community along for the journey.

"I'd like to say a big thank you and congratulations to everyone involved in this incredible organisation. You have been building brighter futures for all children here in Macarthur for 25 years and I have no doubt you will continue to do so for many more years to come."

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound, said he is proud to join forces with his fellow Mayors to raise funds for this wonderful local charity.

"I am proud to see our strength of collaborating across Local Government boundaries. This is a great example of what can be achieved when we work together on collective initiatives that impact all communities and ultimately support the whole Macarthur region," he said.

"Kids of Macarthur have done a tremendous job supporting families and children for the past 25 years, making a real difference to healthcare services in our region.

"This promises to be a fantastic night at the Camden Civic Centre and I'm calling on our community to once again show their generosity and purchase tickets early."

Mayor of Wollondilly, Matt Gould, is looking forward to collaborating with Camden and Campbelltown Councils to support this fantastic local charity through The Macarthur Mayors Combined Charity Dinner.

"With three Councils working together we will be able to raise a significant amount of money for the Kids of Macarthur on their 25th anniversary," he said.

"Wollondilly Shire Council is committed to improving health care for every child living in our region and looks forward to helping raise money for this worthy cause."
