Nunawading Highway Patrol picked up two 'p' platers over the weekend driving outrageous speeds on the Monash in Glen Waverley.
Both drivers were spotted outbound on the Monash Freeway within two hours of one another on Saturday 25 July about 11.20pm and in the early hours of Sunday morning about 12.45am.
In the first incident a Mazda utility was detected travelling 160km/h in the 100km zone.
The 19-year-old driver, who had four passengers on board was seen continually cutting through heavy traffic without indicating.
The Clyde North teen's vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1120.
He is expected to be charged on summons for exceeding the speed limit, speed and manner dangerous and other traffic related offences.
The second vehicle detected was a Ford Falcon, which left members flabbergasted, after the 19-year-old driver was detected travelling 200km/h, double the limit.
He was also weaving through traffic and advised members his reason was, 'for fun'.
The Pakenham teen is expected to be charged with exceeding the speed limit and dangerous driving.
The Ford was also impounded at a cost of $1046.
