Input from businesses, clubs and community members has informed the timing and program for the Red Bluff to Half Moon Bay Masterplan works taking place over winter. We thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding in accepting that some disruption is necessary to make the Half Moon Bay precinct safer and more accessible for everyone.
Council works
Planned Council works include:
- new pedestrian crossings in the lower and upper car parks (B14 and B15)
- a rain garden and pedestrian walkway from the upper to lower car park
- safety improvements to the Beach Road entrance to the precinct for vehicles, bikes and pedestrians
- upgrade of public lighting in the lower and upper car parks (B14 and B15)
- improvements to public seating and all-abilities access to the pier
- replacement of existing Bayview Crescent ramp retaining wall near toilet block.
Works are scheduled to begin in early June 2021 for approximately 13 weeks (weather permitting).
Other works
We are also working collaboratively with other agencies and contractors to encourage them to undertake their works concurrently to minimise disruption to our stakeholders.
These works include:
- roof replacement at Black Rock Yacht Club
- minor upgrade works at Half Moon Bay Surf Life Saving Club
