Man and two women arrested after stolen car found, SA

Police have arrested a man and two women after a stolen BMW was found at Campbelltown overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 2am Norwood police were conducting a routine patrol of Campbelltown when they saw an unoccupied white 2008 BMW sedan parked on Cedar Avenue.

Checks revealed that the car and keys had been stolen during a break-in at a Malvern address in the early hours of Monday 17 April.

Shortly after police observed a man approach the vehicle. The patrol attempted to speak to him when he was seen to throw an item into near-by bushes later discovered to be the car keys for the BMW.

The 18-year-old from Athol Park was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and illegal interference. He has been refused bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

At about 9.30am today, patrols attended a Campbelltown address and arrested two women in connection with this incident.

An 18-year-old from North Haven has been charged with two counts of illegal use and two counts of theft. She did not apply for bail and appeared in court today.

The other woman, a 17-year-old from Christie Downs, was charged with illegal use and has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 7 June.
