Police have arrested a man and a woman at Marden today over a stolen car.
Just after 3pm police were in the vicinity of the Marden Shopping Centre when they spotted a red Holden utility pull into the centre car park. Checks on the vehicle showed that it had been stolen from a Hope Valley address on 30 December.
A number of patrols attended and set up cordons around the stolen car. Officers then approached the car and arrested a man sitting in the driver's seat. A woman who was in company with the man was also arrested inside the shopping centre.
A 32-year-old man from Brahma Lodge and a 27-year-old woman from Oakden have been arrested over the incident and are being interviewed by police.
