A man is in custody after an apparent domestic dispute in Sydney’s west this afternoon, NSW Police say.
Just before 2pm, emergency services were called to a storm water drain in parkland just off Tucks Road at Toongabbie.
Concerns had been raised for the welfare of a one-year-old boy. On arriving, police began to search the park, finding the child with an adult male in nearby Anvil Street.
The male was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
The boy was taken to hospital for precautionary medical checks.
The man is known to the child. Inquiries are continuing.
