Man arrested after Woodcroft robbery, South Australia

A man has been arrested after he assaulted and robbed a driver at Woodcroft this morning.

Police will allege that about 8.30am, an Uber car driver had collected a male passenger in Traeger Court, when the man tried to steal the driver's mobile phones.

The passenger then assaulted the driver, and got out of the car and ran off with two mobile phones.

The driver was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of minor head injuries, and his phones were recovered nearby.

After further investigation, Southern District detectives went to a house in Christies Beach and arrested an 18-year-old man, charging him with aggravated robbery and assault causing harm.

He will be refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow.
