A man has been arrested following a police operation in Sydney’s west yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just before 6.45pm (Monday 3 December 2018), police were called to a home unit on Sylvanus Street, Greenacre, after reports of a possible shot being fired.
Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended and established a perimeter.
Just after 8pm, a 37-year-old man was arrested nearby without incident.
He was taken to Auburn Police Station where he is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
A search warrant was executed at the man’s Sylvanus Street home with officers allegedly locating a firearm and ammunition.
Inquiries continue.
