St Kilda police have arrested a man following an incident at business premises in South Melbourne this morning, Victoria Police say.
Officers were called to assist after an assault occurred between a male customer and female employee. at the York Street address just after 10.30am.
A security guard has intervened to secure the man until police arrived and a scuffle has ensued.
The 57-year-old female victim from East Bentleigh and a 52-year-old male security guard from Hampton Park both sustained minor injuries and have been treated at the scene.
Police have taken a 42-year-old Melbourne man into custody and he is expected to be interviewed shortly.
