Man arrested following southern suburbs break-in, SA

A man has been arrested after he was found with property stolen from a break-in at Old Reynella overnight, according to SA Police.

Just after 1.30am on Monday 25 July, patrols were called to a deli on Pimpala Road after reports of a break-in and alarm activation.

On arrival, police saw the front door had been smashed and witnesses reported seeing a Mazda sedan leave shortly before patrols arrived.

Police spotted the car a short time later on States Road and pulled over the driver.

A search of the car uncovered cigarettes, milk and confectionary which is alleged to have been stolen from the deli.

A 49-year-old from Morphett Vale was charged with serious criminal trespass, theft and going equipped.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court later today.
