Man arrested for assault police , SA

A man will face court after allegedly spitting at a Police Officer in the city last night, according to SA Police.

Just before 10.30pm, Saturday 9 September, patrols were on North Terrace when they were flagged down to assist security with a man who was behaving disorderly.

While patrols were trying to arrest the man he spat in one of the officers face and resisted, defensive spray was used to subdue the man.

The 19 year-old from North Adelaide was charged with aggravated assault police, resist arrest and disorderly behavior. He was barred from the Adelaide CBD for three months and was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 October.
