Man arrested for bribery and abuse of public office, SA

A man has been arrested following an investigation by SAPOL’s anti-corruption branch, according to SA Police.

On Saturday 23 September 2017, detectives arrested a 37-year-old man from Daw Park in relation to offences of Bribery, Abuse of Public Office, Aggravated Deception and Aggravated Dishonest Dealings with Documents.

Multiple charges will also be laid in relation to the accused’s conduct as an Authorised Examiner, responsible for testing candidates for driver’s licenses.

He has appeared in court and has since been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 10 November.
