Police have arrested a man in relation to an alleged firearms incident in Williamstown last month.
Police received reports that a man on a motorcycle had discharged a firearm in the vicinity of Ferguson Street in Williamstown about 1.30am on 25 January.
No one was injured during this incident.
The 27-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested about 3pm today on High Street in Reservoir.
The man was arrested with the assistance of SOG and at the time of arrest he was in possession of a firearm.
The man is currently under police guard in hospital being treated for non-life threatening injuries and is yet to be interviewed at this stage.
