Man Arrested Inside Bridgewater Pub

A man was arrested overnight after he was found inside a Bridgewater pub after hours.

Police responded to alarm activations at the hotel on Mount Barker Road, Bridgewater just after the pub's 1am closing time on Saturday 6 December.

The intruder was located inside the pub and arrested.

It will be alleged the man smashed a glass door to gain entry before causing damage to equipment and barware inside the hotel.

The 23-year-old Bridgewater man was charged with serious criminal trespass, property damage and assault prescribed emergency worker.

He was bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 11 February.

He was also issued with a six-month barring order from the premises.
