Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have arrested a 44-year-old Melbourne man regarding the sexual assault of a girl in the cities’ CBD earlier this month, Victoria Police say.
An 11-year-old girl was walking with her mother and brother towards a theatre on Collins Street about 2.50pm on Sunday, 4 June when the man sexually assaulted her.
The man has been released pending summons.
