Man assaulted and robbed at Prospect, South Australia

Police are investigating a robbery overnight in Prospect.

Just after 11pm on Wednesday 10 February, a man agreed to meet another man in the Northpark Shopping Centre on Main North Road, to purchase electrical items. The victim was approached by two men who allegedly hit him in the legs and shoulder with a hammer before they stole a bag containing cash, a laptop and other personal items. The pair then left in a green station wagon, possibly a Volvo.

The first suspect is described as being Caucasian, average build and wearing a grey top and dark baseball cap. The other suspect is also Caucasian with a slim build.

The victim was treated at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for leg and shoulder injuries and investigations are continuing.

Police urge people to always consider their personal safety when meeting strangers or people they have met online, whether it is dating or socially, or buying or selling goods.
