Man assaulted in Rockdale

A man has sustained a fractured skull after he was punched and kicked during a fight at Rockdale this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Bryant Street, Rockdale, to find the 26-year-old man had been injured after he became involved in a scuffle outside a bar about 3.40am tomorrow,

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to St George Hospital where scans revealed he’d sustained a fractured skull; however, police have been told the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Officers from St George Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the incident. They have spoken with a number of people who were at the scene at the time of the incident.

Police have now released a description of a man they believe can assist with the investigation.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 18 – 25 years, 170cm-175cm tall, with a short, stocky build.
