Man caught drink driving with two child passengers in Sutherland

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving with two children in his car, NSW Police say.

About 9.30am today (Saturday 15 December 2018), a Mitsubishi Outlander was spotted driving erratically on Eton Street, Sutherland.

Police were contacted and stopped the vehicle further along Eton Street.

The driver, a 34-year-old man, was spoken to and subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result. He was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station.

Two girls in the car, aged 2 and 3, were left in the care of an adult female passenger.

The man was subject to a breath analysis, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.211.

He was charged with high range PCA and his licence was suspended.

He is expected to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 17 January 2019.

Police made a notification regarding the incident to Family and Community Services (FACS).
