A man has been charged after drugs, knuckle dusters and counterfeit cash were allegedly seized at home in the Illawarra yesterday.
About 9am yesterday (Thursday 19 February 2026), officers attached to Southern Operations Support Group executed a search warrant at a home in Halyard Street, Berkeley.
Officers seized prohibited drugs including methylamphetamine, heroin and liquid GBH, $1,000 cash, an electronic stun gun, knuckle dustrer, makeshift mace, a counterfeit $50 note, and fireworks.
Two phones were seized for forensic examination.
A 34-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
He was charged with 9 offences:
- Two counts of supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity
- Three counts of possess prohibited drug
- Deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000
- Three counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 8 April 2026.
