A man will face court over multiple alleged break and enter, firearm and drug related offences in the state's Central Coast.
In December 2025, officers attached to Brisbane Water Proactive Crime Team commenced an investigation following reports a motorcycle had been stolen from a home in Gosford.
Police were told about 11.40pm on Tuesday 2 December 2025, three unknown men had broken into the carpark of a unit block on Whiteway Drive and left the scene after they stole a number of items, including a motorcycle.
A crime scene was established, and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Following initial inquiries, on Tuesday 13 January 2026, police executed a search warrant at a storage shed in Erina, where they seized a motorcycle, a firearm, ammunition and drugs.
Following further inquiries, about 8.15am yesterday (Friday 16 January 2026), police arrested a 31-year-old man at a home on Sherwood Drive, Springfield.
About 11.50am on the same day a subsequent search warrant was executed at the same home where a motorcycle, a number plate, 3.32g of heroin and 1.23g of methylamphetamine were seized.
The man was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60,000 (two counts), firearm etc found at premises -subject to prohibition order, acquire etc ammunition subject to prohibition order, possess drug (not cannabis leaf. MDMA) not exceed small quantity (two counts), recklessly deal with proceeds of crime more than $5,000, and receive property - theft equal to serious indictable offence more than $5,000.
He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 on Friday 16 January 2026, where he was formally refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Wednesday 21 January 2026.
