Man charged after home invasion, NSW

A man will appear in court today after he was charged with multiple offences following a domestic-related home invasion in Beacon Hill, NSW Police say.

About 9pm on Monday 29 May 2017 the 29-year-old man forced his way into an address on Beacon Hill Road, Beacon Hill.

Once inside the man assaulted his ex-partner, a 31-year-old woman, and stole property, before fleeing the scene.

The woman sustained bruising, scratches and swelling as a result of the assault, as well as a burn mark from a lit cigarette.

About 2.05pm yesterday police arrested the man, who also had an outstanding warrant relating to a 2016 robbery, in Beacon Hill.

He was taken to Manly Police where he was charged with the warrant, as well as the following offences:

- Specially aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence

- Steal from person.

He was bail refused to appear at Manly Local Court today.
