Man Charged After Stolen Goods Seized

A man has been charged after stolen property was seized in the state's west.

In July 2025, detectives attached to Oxley Police District and the Crime Prevention Team commenced investigations under Strike Force Yarloop to investigate property and rural thefts in the Gunnedah and surrounding areas.

About 9.15am on Thursday (18 September 2025), officers executed a search warrant at a home on Schwager Street, Gunnedah.

During the search, police allegedly located and seized property believed to be stolen including power tools, vehicle tools, a dirt bike, electronic equipment and cannabis.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Gunnedah Police Station where he was charged with larceny.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Gunnedah Local Court on Tuesday 4 November 2025.

Strike Force Yarloop investigations remain ongoing.
