A man has been charged with aggravated break and enter and domestic violence offences in the state's Far West.
Officers attached to Barrier Police District received a report about 2pm yesterday (Sunday 24 May 2026) that a man was behaving aggressively in Balranald.
Following inquiries, police attended an address in Balranald about 2.30pm the same day.
After a short foot pursuit, police arrested a 33-year-old man – who was wanted for three outstanding warrants – at the address.
The man was taken to Dareton Police Station where he was charged by virtue of three warrants for the offences of,
· Contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) (three counts)
· Aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-people there
· Common assault (DV)
· Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic)
· Destroy or damage property (DV)
· Enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence.
He was refused bail to face Bail Division Court 4 today (Monday 25 May 2026).
