Man charged and Police seek info over indecent assault, NSW

A man has been charged following an alleged indecent assault outside a fast food store on Macleay Street at Potts Point last night, NSW Police say.

Police will allege about 6.30pm Thursday 21 September 2018 a man has indecently assaulted a girl accompanied by a woman outside the fast food store. The girl and the woman both ran away from the location.

Two men eating at the fast food store have witnessed the alleged assault, before reporting the incident to officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command.

Police commenced inquiries into circumstances surrounding the event, which led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man.

The man was charged by police with aggravated indecent assault and offensive behaviours, and was refused bail to appear before Central Local Court today (Friday 21 September 2018).

Police are asking for the girl and woman accompanying her to come forward as they may be able to assist with inquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or those involved to contact Crime Stoppers.
