Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have charged a man this evening following a 2016 sexual assault in Geelong, Victoria Police say.
The 69-year-old Thomson man was arrested at his home today.
He has been charged with three counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault.
The charges follow an incident where a woman was approached by an unknown man at a bus stop on Moorabool Street on 13 September last year.
The 41-year-old was then driven to an unknown location and subsequently sexually assaulted.
The man has been bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 6 October.
