Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a spate of graffiti attacks on a South Yarra synagogue throughout this year.
Detectives arrested a 37-year-old man when investigators executed a search warrant at his South Yarra home this morning.
Investigators seized items allegedly related to the offending and charged him with:
- Six counts of criminal damage
- Six counts of mark offensive graffiti
- Five counts of use unregistered motor vehicle
- Five counts of unlicenced driving; and
- One count of failing to stop on police direction.
He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 21 November.
The charges relate to criminal damage at a Toorak Road synagogue on:
- 11 March
- 21 June
- 22 June
- 22 July
- 30 July
- 19 August.
