A man has been charged after an investigation into alleged sexual offences inside a hair salon in Sydney's south earlier this year.
In June 2026, detectives attached to South Sydney Police Area Command commenced an investigation after two men, aged 34 and 37, were allegedly sexually assaulted at a hair salon on Gardeners Road, Rosebery.
Police will be alleged the owner of the business met the men on an online dating site and they were invited to the salon, where they unknowingly ingested a substance before being sexually assaulted.
The two separate incidents allegedly occurred on Sunday 8 March 2026 and Monday 25 May 2026.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 39-year-old man at the business at 11am today (Friday 7 August 2026).
He was taken to Mascot Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of use intoxicating substance to commit indictable offence, and two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
The man was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 7 tomorrow (Saturday 8 August 2026).
