Applications For Community Gardens Grants Program Open

Grants support sustainable and edible community gardens

Community organisations and local governments are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $10,000 as part of the Community Gardens Grants Program.

Delivered by Department of Communities, grants provided through the program support the establishment and development of sustainable and edible community gardens in Western Australia.

Gardens supported by the program also provide an opportunity for people to actively participate in the community, build relationships between neighbours and community members, and connect with nature and the environment.

Organisations can apply for funding to support a wide range of garden-related items and services; from plants, seedlings, and fertiliser to garden planning, design, and training services.

Successful applicants will demonstrate that their project encourages participation of the wider community and is a feasible and sustainable project.

Organisations are encouraged to find out more information about the program through the Community Gardens Grants Program website.

Applications close at 3om on Friday 18 December 2026.
