Man Charged for Sexually Touching Woman on Train

A man has been charged after he allegedly sexually touched a woman on a train between Westmead and Strathfield railway stations last month.

About 7.50am on Thursday 3 July 2025, a 28-year-old woman reported to police that she had allegedly been sexually touched by a man unknown to her while on a train.

During the incident, the man allegedly exposed himself towards the woman.

Following the report, officers attached to Police Transport Command Proactive Crime Team North West commenced an investigation into the incident.

About 7.20am on Wednesday 6 August 2025, following extensive investigations, police attended a home on River Oak Circuit, Kellyville, where they arrested a 53-year-old man.

He was taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 6 August 2025), where he was granted conditional bail to appear before the same Court on Wednesday 20 August 2025.
