Man Charged: Gun, DV, Drug Warrants in Queanbeyan

A man has been charged with five outstanding warrants after being arrested in Queanbeyan overnight.

Officers attached to Monaro Police District have been investigating the whereabouts of a 29-year-old man after five warrants were issued for a total of 15 domestic violence, drug, and firearm offences.

Monaro Police District's Proactive Crime Team (PCT) initiated a wide-ranging investigation to locate the man and about 10pm yesterday (Friday 23 January 2026), police established a perimeter around a home in Fergus Road, Queanbeyan.

PCT and general duties police arrested the man as he allegedly attempted to escape from a second-floor balcony.

He was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station where he was charged with the five warrants, as well as resist arrest, possession of a prohibited drug, and deemed supply of a prohibited drug.

Police seized methamphetamine when the man was searched.

He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 today (Saturday 24 January 2026).
