Man Charged in Annette Steward Death, Geelong West 1992

Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man in relation to the 1992 death of Annette Steward in Geelong West.

A 55-year-old man was transported from Western Australia last week and is now in custody in Victoria.

He has been charged with murder and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 20 March.

The man had previous been arrested by Western Australian Police in January 2020 as part of an unrelated investigation.

Annette was found dead in her Hope Street, Geelong West property on 18 March, 1992.

In 2015 police offered a $1 million reward for information in relation to the 29-year-old's death.
