Man Charged in Armed Robbery, Assault at Long Jetty

A man will face court today following an alleged attempted armed robbery and assault on the state's Central Coast.

Shortly before 6.30pm yesterday (Saturday 23 May 2026), emergency services were called to a business on The Entrance Road, Long Jetty, following reports of an assault.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and found a 55-year-old man had been stabbed in the neck and a second man, also aged 55, with lacerations to his hand.

Police were also told a 30-year-old man entered the business and allegedly threatened a 13-year-old girl with a knife and demanded money.

The girl was not injured.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the first man before he was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

The second man was also treated by paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital for further treatment.

The 30-year-old was arrested at the scene and taken to Wyong Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with intent to rob with wounding/grievous bodily harm.

The man was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 today (Sunday 24 March 2026).
