A man will face court charged following an alleged assault on Sydney's transport network yesterday.
About 11pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 December 2025), officers attached to the Police Transport Command responded to reports of a man allegedly behaving in an offensive manner.
Upon arrival, officers were told a 30-year-old man had boarded a train at Central Railway Station and allegedly made a number of racist comments and gestures.
The 30-year-old then allegedly assaulted one of the passengers, a 17-year-old boy, before he left the train and police were called.
No serious injuries were reported to those involved.
Following inquiries, the 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Surry Hills Police Staton.
There he was charged with behave in offensive manner in or near public place or places, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and common assault.
The man was granted condition bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 15 December 2025.
