Man charged over break and enter in Burwood

Police have arrested and charged a man following a number of property offences that occurred earlier this year, NSW Police say.

About 10.20pm on Monday 23 October 2017, a man entered a unit on Meredith Avenue, Rhodes while the occupants were home. He allegedly stole a handbag before leaving the location.

About 7.40pm on Monday 13 November 2017, a man entered a unit on Underdale Lane, Meadowbank while the occupants were home. He allegedly stole a wallet before fleeing the location.

The man is alleged to have committed fraud related offences.

About 3pm on Tuesday 19 December 2017, police from Burwood Local Area Command arrested a 29-year-old man from St Marys.

The man was charged in relation to both offences. He was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal (x2) and dishonestly obtain property by deception (x7).

The man was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 7 February 2018.
