Man charged over high-range drink-driving with child and woman in car in Abbotsbury

A man has been charged after he was allegedly caught drink-driving with a child and a woman in the car in Sydney’s west this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 11am (Saturday 17 November 2018), officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were called to Cowpasture Road, Abbotsbury, after reports a car was driving erratically.

Police will allege a five-year-old boy and 28-year-old woman were passengers in the car.

The driver, a 31-year-old man from Camden, underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station where he returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.198.

He was issued a court attendance notice for high-range PCA and his is driver’s licence was suspended.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Monday 10 December 2018.

A child at risk notification was submitted to the Department of Family and Community Services.
