Man charged over road-rage incident in Merrylands

Police have charged a man allegedly involved in a road-rage incident at Merrylands earlier this week, NSW Police say.

About 4.30pm on Tuesday 25 July 2017, two occupants in a silver Hyundai and two occupants in a black Audi, became involved in an alleged affray on Centenary Road following a traffic dispute.

After receiving video footage of the incident, officers attached to Holroyd Local Area Command commenced inquiries.

Following investigations, the driver of the Audi, a 22-year-old man, presented himself at Merrylands Police Station at 5pm today.

He was charged with affray, use offensive instrument with intent, intimidation, negligent driving and owner not disclose identity of driver/passenger.

The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 16 August 2017.

The two occupants of the Hyundai were also interviewed by police and released pending further inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
