Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following reports of sexual assaults onboard a tram in the Melbourne CBD area on 1 February.
It is alleged a man travelling on the route 12 tram from the Melbourne CBD towards South Melbourne sexually assaulted two female passengers aged 13 and 14.
A 47-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with sexual assault on child under 16, sexual activity directed at person and commit indictable offence on bail.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
