Man charged with drug offences after vehicle stop in Dubbo

A man has been arrested after he was found in possession of nearly a kilogram of cannabis, NSW Police say.

About 10.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 02 September), officers from the Orana Mid-Western Target Action Group (TAG) stopped a Suzuki Ignis on the Golden Highway Dubbo, to speak with the driver.

During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly located a large quantity of drugs, believed to be cannabis.

The package was seized and will undergo forensic analysis.

A 47-year-old man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.

He was charged with possession and supply of prohibited drug (cannabis).

The man was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Wednesday 5 September 2018).
