Man charged with multiple offences after allegedly shooting drone, NSW

A man has been charged with multiple drug and firearms offences after being arrested at Burrell Creek, on the state's Mid North Coast.

About 10.30am yesterday (Thursday 10 January 2019), a real estate agent attended a property on Dickinsons Road to take aerial footage with a drone.

It's alleged an occupant of the property used a firearm to shoot the drone.

Police were alerted and officers from Manning/Great Lakes Police District attended and commenced inquires.

During a search of the property police located and seized 187 cannabis plants, 20kg of dried cannabis, along with a sum of cash.

Police were then directed to a location about 5km from the property where they seized an unregistered .22 calibre rifle.

A 46-year-old man was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with eight firearms and drug offences.

He was bail refused to appear at Forster Local Court today (Friday 11 January 2019).
